electromagnetic interference related to the stepper motors of the boost controller. Laser light (as is all light) is just electromagnetic fields. Laser unlike normal light is a specific wavelength (white light is all visible wavelengths). Your V1 may be getting confused by the electromagnetic field created by the wiring sending the signals to the boost controller stepper motors. When it is sending the pulse that relates to 18psi it may be creating an electromagnetic pulse that is identical, close to, or exactly in phase with the wavelength of lase used in radar. Basically, check to make sure that the HKS EVC IV, and V1 wires are not run closely together. Same principle as not running power and signal wires together on a Stereo (or Racelogic TC Unit)
